You have full fine control of the temperature, and after a short learning curve it is second nature. The whip is something to consider. The smaller size is better for me, and I've recently upgraded to the silicone tubing, the flexibility is so much better.

I purchased this a few years ago on 420Science, and it's easily the best flower piece I've ever had. It's tough, sleek, and easy to clean. Sure it may run a bit expensive for your average person, but it certainly is a worthwhile investment if you commonly use flower and herbal blends.

I debated for a while over the decision to go standard but it is interactive and gives more control. With the clear bowl you can see how the burn is going and swivel it round to complete, inhale deeply then let it rest. After a couple burns ez to stir with included tool, tamp lightly. Lots of control.
