My first box style vaporizer was a vaporite and while I loved that unit, it had it's flaws. I purchased it not knowing Vapor Brothers VB1 was the original product design. I liked some of the features on the vaporite such as digital temp setting and digital temp readout, remote control, and auto shut off features but it smelled like cheap glue out of the box and continued to smell with every use.



The 18mm joint on the vaporite had an even wider filling chamber which required stirring after every hit. With the VB1, you get a much more consistent burn with much less worry about stirring. The herb chamber on the VB1 is more narrow and taller than the vaporite's, which is short and flat. This allows the VB1 to achieve higher efficiency vaporizing herbs.



The construction of the VB1 seems to be of much higher quality than it's chinese competitors. The materials used show no noticeable signs of offgassing. The wood construction is beautiful. The build quality seems closer to piece of furniture than a vaporizing device. I really enjoy the long, permanently fixed power cord, LED lighting and the ceramic whip attachments.



My one and only complaint is with the area under the heating element. There is a gap at the very bottom, back section allowing any herbs that fall into that area to fall directly onto the circuit board. The spent herbs seem to come out with a quick shake of the unit but who knows how much could accumulate inside the unit.

This is an absolute bargain, great taste and vapor density.

I have had my vaporizer for about 13 years. It has seen steady use. After about 10 years, the rheostat knob broke lose from the front wood panel and the rheostat didn’t seem to adjust properly. I sent it in for refurbishment and in short order I had back essentially a new unit. I had occasion to speak, late night, with one of the owners who was working with repair orders like mine. He was friendly and helpful and I was glad he had called so we could confirm my issues with my unit. What do you buy today which functions flawlessly for 10 years? I stock up on screens etc. when I place an order.

I have always loved the product, but the customer service when I ordered my new vape was really something special. Linus the vape builder called me multiple times to sort everything out, and he got my order packaged and shipped right away at 10pm on a Friday night.
